FAP Turbo Reviewed – Anyone Making Money?

128 FAP Turbo trades over the past 3 weeks for a loss of -114.2 pips (£-5.87).

Well this is summer trading for you. A very unimpressive month so far. The EURCHF has had 23 trades and 3 loss. The 3 losses completely wiped out any gains and have put us firmly in the negative on this pair. 22 GBPCHF trades and no losses. GBPUSD had 37 trades and 13 small losses which has put us marginally in the negative for this pair. 20 USDCAD trades and 6 losses again a negative balance for this pair. Finally, 23 USDCHF trades with 7 small losses giving a small profit.

FAPT is doing alright again, as long as the market (EURUSD) continues up!

I may consider increasing my risk – however the market is due for some proper retracement around the level 1.31 area.

There are many interested parties not wanting the EUR to die, so this rally may continue – but for how long?

From my MT4 account you can see I’m hedging some Forex Autopilot losses that I let run from 1.5 area. Doh!

30 FAP Turbo trades over the past week for a profit of 93.3 pips (£37.90) .

Another pretty good week for FAPT. Again the EURUSD is still going up. However, general consensus is that the EURUSD will fall soon. When it starts all over again, reduce your risk and button down the hatches!

Now I don’t often talk about new EAs but THeEDgeFX comes out this Sunday. It’s results look really promising. I’m thinking of getting it and I’ll record my results here.

17 FAP Turbo trades over the past week for a profit of 88.6 pips (£28.25) .

Again not a bad weeks trading. The EURUSD continues to increase. This bodes well for FAPT. On the other hand the EURUSD will most likely turn down again soon. An important resistance area is being hit as I write this, around 1.26. We may still see the EURUSD climb to 1.3 area but that’s being hopeful, we’ll just have to wait and see.

FAPT has made no updates since its latest license renewal. No new version was released. So I have no idea whether they have given up on this product. I wouldn’t mind paying a monthly/quarterly/yearly license if I felt they were working hard to keep this EA profitable. After all they’d be making me more money.

A much better week for FAPT.

It’s very noticable that FAPT only really works in a bull market. This week has done well but that’s only because the EURUSD has turned over the past week or so. The past 5 months have been very poor for this robot. Why? Because the markets (EURUSD) have been going down. Why did it do quite well last year? Because the markets were basically going up. There will always be exceptions to my analysis but this view seems to be more and more valid.

The trouble we have now, is that the general consensus is that the markets are still going down and I’m mainly referring to the EURUSD here when I talk about the markets. So pick your FAPT currency pairs wisely.

96 FAP Turbo trades over the past month for a loss of -9 pips (£2.45) .

Poor trading over all for FAPT this month, however the USDCHF pair proved itself worthy. All other traded pairs lost for me.

This is the trouble with FAPT, you can’t feel confident about trading all the pairs, only one or two seem to work at any one time. The USDCHF is one of their latest pairs released and it did really well this month with only one full loss and 20 full 9/10 pip profits. So 9 of those trades had to make up for the loss but the remaining 11 trades were good.

You may have noticed by now that I don’t post on a weekly basis anymore. I will continue to post randomly and if I can on a bi-weekly basis.

71 FAP Turbo trades over the past 2 weeks for a loss of -30.8 pips (-£1.28) .

The markets have been fairly rocky recently. I’m still trading with FAPT and hopefully it will pick up again. I’m still keeping my risk low.

19 FAP Turbo trades for a loss of 161.7 pips (-£12.13) .

FAPT has been fairly shocking for the past few months now. It’s been very good at being inconsistent of late. However, this week we saw some good trades on my faithful old USDCAD. It’s obviously difficult to say what’s coming, but the heady days of a year ago when FAPT really was performing seem to be over. I don’t want to put a downer on FAPT as it’s done me well and I’m running my accounts on pure profit but it’s a shame the developers haven’t kept it up to date. It’s one thing to introduce news pairs, which, don’t get me wrong is great, but making the old pairs more profitable or at least keeping them profitable should be a priority.

That said, I don’t think FAPT is over, it’s been an awesome success in the EA market with them claiming 55,000 passive sit-at-home money earners and they should keep investing in it and so should we. It’s still one of, if not the best EA’s out there for your forex portfolio.

For the moment I’m keeping my risk low and my eye on the markets. We are in troubling times and this may well be the largest factor working against this EA.

26 FAP Turbo trades for a loss of -21.3 pips (-£12.25) .

FAP Turbo had one large loss on Wednesday this week on the USDCHF.

When it comes to trading I value safety ahead of profits. I do not have the heart for too many losses. I will be looking to reduce the trading times of some pairs shortly. Currently a number of pairs start at 20:00 GMT, I will be making that 21:00 GMT. I will update my settings page with these changes shortly.
