8 FAP Turbo trades for a loss of 23.2 pips (-£42.20).
1 large USDCHF losing trade sucked the life out my profit this week.
Had no USDCAD trades on Tuesday and Wednesday even though my other Alpari accounts did and were profitable. With these 2 extra trades we may have not had a losing week.
MegaDroid has been on a roll for the past month. It’s still going strong.

How do you decide when to set usecustomlevels to true for USDCAD?
haha, i had a loss on thurs evening (well, fri noon to be exact)

Hi CL, past performance mainly. If set to true, you will often find it closing without profit as it can take a while to get to its take profit. I’m surprised you had a loss, all my accounts profited with the USDCAD trade. On the other hand the USDCHF pair did have a loss. Who’s your broker?

It’s MIG. I mean you have set USDCAD’s usecustomlevel to false last thu evening. Your USDCAD profit was 4pips and 7pips.

Hi CL, I scaled out of the trade, took 4 pips off the table, which wasn’t even necessary. As you can see the trade came good. Your trade must have been a SELL for some reason. One other thing, how are you finding MIG as a broker?

Oh, I see. How strange, my fapturbo shorted at 22.44hrs GMT which resulted in a losing trade.
MIG is fine during Asian session – when fapt is working, less the strange USDCAD trade i get (such as the above).
However, i tried trading during news release and i often get requotes.
I’m still evaluating MIG, will let you know more when the time comes.

I am considering an automatic sustem to trade forex. I know NOTHING about it. Can anyone recommend a system that I dont have to set “settings” etc but can run on its own. The money i will be using is that of an elderly aunt who i manage her meager estate and need some income to supplement her nursing home bills each month. Not lossing si more important than making a ton. I have 5,000 usd at interactive brokers. I tried daytradding and lost 32,000 down to 25,000 and had to close my IRA to replace the money then i got scared and did nothing and the 25 is now down to 5 due to the above stated nursing home bills. I am telling you this ot make sure you understand the risk factor I am working with.

Bruce, sorry about the situation.
I’m afraid most EA’s will have settings. Once settings are set you shouldn’t need to change them very often.
FAP Turbo works and makes money. However, with $5000 you may not make enough consistently to cover bills. If you are lucky I would say you could make $500 per month with conservative settings. You will have good months where you double that figure and you will have months that break even or sometimes worse.
Three and half months ago I started a new account with $1600, now it is over $3800. The gross profit on the account is nearly $6000 and the gross loss is about $3200. What this shows you is that you are going to have large losses at times but the wins out do them. This account trades FAPTurbo and MegaDroid. I traded Pips miner briefly but it lost me over $500 so I binned it.
Who is your broker? Your broker is the most important factor.

I believe they are a good broker, although I’m not familiar with them. Others here may have other opinions. Also check out forex peace army if you haven’t already.
